Knysna is well known for its beautiful terrain, with a massive lagoon and the renowned Knysna heads. Famous for its Yellowwood trees, the area is surrounded by lush green forests and an abundance of birds and wildlife.
Botlierskop Game Reserve has four of the Big 5 and is located near Mosselbay in the heart of the Garden Route. Its 3 000 hectares of land is home to 26 different animal species and more than 200 species of birds. Departing from Cape Town, the tour will take the R62 to Oudtshoorn. Accommodation will be at the picturesque, four-star, country guest house De Denne B&B (subject to availability).
Oudtshoorn has an incredible array of activities on offer, all available within an hour’s drive from De Denne. The package includes a visit the incredible Cango Caves and to an Ostrich Farm. An optional activity is the opportunity to see crocodiles, white tigers, leopards, lemurs, snakes and much more at the Wildlife Ranch. This can be arranged with the tour guide.
From Oudtshoorn you will travel over the panoramic Outeniqua Pass to Knysna, passing the Knysna Heads before arriving at the four-star Atlantic Guest House, which overlooks the Knysna Lagoon.
Departing from Atlantic Guest House, the tour will head to Botlierskop Game Reserve where sun, safari, elephants and lions are just a few of the reasons to visit. Here you will take part in two safari drives with optional extras available, such as a nighttime safari and the horseback safari.
Once you have experienced all that Botlierskop has to offer, the guide will meet you for your six-hour return trip to Cape Town. Your guide will point out the optional activities available en-route.
